After being filled with the wilderness experience on game viewing in Kidepo and Murchison thereafter proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park and encounter the gorilla trekking safari and connecting from the nearby park to this park it is like 7 hours’ drive depending on the state of the road and if you would like to go flying it is also possible.

Transfer from Kasese Airstrip and check in 1 hour before your scheduled flight to Kihihi or Kisoro. Maximum flight time will take 1.50 minutes. Fly over countryside viewing the beautiful terraced hills of Kigezi commonly referred to as Switzerland of Africa with nice scenery, Mafuga forest as well as viewing the Virunga Mountains of Congo and Rwanda. However; this will depend on the weather of the day and the route to take.

On arrival at the airstrip, you will be transferred to your respective Lodge. On the next bright day, embark on gorilla tracking. Gorilla tracking takes about 1 hour to 8 or more depending on the movement of these forest giants at that particular day. The terrain is steep and hilly but with dense forest cover.

The thrill of coming face to face with the gorillas will erase the potential strenuous of day’s hiking. Spend one hour with gorillas watching their daily activities and playful manner. Return to your place of stay.

You can decide to take a second gorilla trek the next day in a different gorilla family since there are different groups. This will give the chance to experience what happens in different groups as well as having a memorable time with the only remaining apes in the country. If in the first gesture you spent only one hour with them, then the second one spends a whole day in a habituated group giving you ample time to understand them.

After all this memorable time, you will be transferred to Kisoro by your special driver. We will be waiting at the airport to transfer you back to your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or if you are leaving that evening you can connect to your onward flight back home.
